The purpose of the Beaufort Shag Club is to promote and preserve the heritage of beach music and shag dancing.  We offer numerous venues for shag dancing, organized lessons, and continuously strive to teach each other new and exciting steps in the classics of shag dancing.

We currently meet every Wednesday at AMVETS on Ribaut Rd just north of the Parris Island Bridge from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Additionally, we also hold our Shag Club dances every 2nd Saturday (See Calendar in "EVENTS" page for changes) of each month at AMVETS.  The DJ kicks off at 8:30 PM and we basically dance and party until midnight (or until they kick us out...)

We hold several theme dances throughout the year to include an incredible Election Bash...
